Match report: Buffs Vs Circle At Sunset

Buffs won the toss and decided to bat in a reduced match of 16 overs.
Circle At Sunset(CAS) kept chipping away at the wickets with Buffs reduced to 42/5. But then a brisk partnership between Natarajan Chandrashekaran(28) and Sudeep Surendra(31) took the score to 116 for 7 in the alloted 16 overs. Ashok Pukale bowled a good spell with 2/16 and so did Sanjay Lakara with 2/22.

CAS started well, with Ashok Pukale playing a valiant knock of 15. But once Sudeep Surendra came into the frame he never stopped. Sudeep Surendra finished with 7 wickets for just 13 runs that included 2 hatricks in the game which might be record bowling figures by a bowler in the tennis league, or even in any format of the game. He ensured that Buffs score a comfortable victory by 66 runs.

Man of the Match: Sudeep Surendra. Congrats to Sudeep on this achievement after winning the MVP in the previous tournament.

Sudeep was given the ball at the 3rd over after an economical start.
He bowled the 5th over getting his first wicket as a reflex return catch. On his 4th ball he got Sanjay Lakar bowled to a yorker, following up with a caught behind of Sanjay Oberoi, followed by a wide and then getting Pavan Kasumurthi caught at midwicket for his 1st hatrick.

Another wicketless over and then with 7 wickets down he took the 11th over getting Ashok Pukale the opener caught and bowled off the 1st ball. Durga was his next victim - a top edge and another caught and bowled. Another hatrick chance, and it was taken, by a fast yorker getting the last man V Sreenath out.

Over 1: 3rd over of the innings: 1 dot 1 1 dot dot - 3runs
Over 2: 5th over of the innings: Wkt dot 4 Wkt Wide Wkt Wkt - 5 runs. This is the over he got the first hattrick.
Over 3: 7th over off the innings: dot 2 dot 1 1 1 - 5 runs
Over 4: 11th over off the innings: Wkt Wkt Wkt - 0 runs. This is the over he got his second hattrick.

Sudeep took wickets at the following scores:
29/1 33/2 34/3 34/4 50/8 50/9 50/10.

Finishing one of the best bowling spells ever in tennis cricket history of 7 wickets for 13 runs in 3.3 overs.
