Saturday 7/17/2010 Rockers vs Anchors at Cornerstone Park, Littleton
Rockers won the toss and elected to field first. Das from Anchors looked in good form and scored 32 quick runs from 19 balls. Raj contributed scoring 16 runs. Kalyan was the best bowler for Rockers picking up 3 wickets. Anchors were all out for 90 runs in 18.3 overs.
Rockers started their chase and were 13/4 at one stage.Kishore played well for Rockers scoring 18 runs and was the last man out. Rockers innings ended at 60 runs in 16.1 overs.
Man of the Match was Das Thumma from Anchors scoring 32 off 19 balls and picking up 1 wicket.
Saturday 7/17/2010 Warriors vs Buffs at Cornerstone Park, Littleton
Warriors won the toss and elected to field first. Warriors struck early in the 1st over getting rid of Pratik. Ramesh bowled a brilliant opening spell picking up 4 wickets is his first 3 overs. Buffs’ score was 21/6 in 7 overs. Kiran and Zeeshan(12) stuck around and spent valuable time at the crease and by the time Kiran got out it was the 14th over and the score was 34/7. Zeeshan was well supported by Azhar(13) and Shravan(11) towards the end and Buffs finally managed to score 72 all out in 20 overs. Ramesh picked up a five-for with 4-0-8-5.
Warriors started their chase very well with Ram and Bhanu putting up 23 runs in 3 overs.Ram was dismissed by Sameed followed by Chandu to some smart work behind the stumps by Nutty.At the break, Warriors required 28 runs off 10 overs with 6 wickets in hand. Good bowling spells from Venky(2 wkts), Sameed(2 wkts), Azhar(1 wkt) and Murali(1 wkt) and some inspired fielding allowed Buffs to pull off an improbable victory by 11 runs with 4.2 overs to spare.
Man of the Match was Azhar Sikander from Buffs for 13 runs and 1 wicket.
Sunday 7/17/2010 Circle at Sunset vs Rockies at Lower Garden Acres, Longmont
Rockies won the toss and elected to bat first. Rockies scored 106 in 20 overs. For Rockies Aravinth top scored with 27 runs while Sundar and Manish scored 21 and 18 respectively, For CAS Girish picked 3 wickets and Ashok 2 Wkts.
CAS were all out for 83 runs in 20 overs chasing 107 runs. Jayendhar was the pick of bowlers taking 3 wkts while Sundar and Jayanth picked 2 wkts each. Mohan was the top scorer for CAS scoring 27 runs.
Jayendhar and Sundar from Rockies were awarded joint man of the match.
Sunday 7/18/2010 Orchards vs Denver Tigers at Lower Garden Acres, Longmont
Orchards won the toss and elected to field first.Denver Tigers scored 81 all out in 18.3 overs.Raja and Vel scored 25 runs each for Tigers.Imran picked up 3 wickets while Siddharth grabbed 2 wickets.
Anand and Mrugesh put up a 54 run opening stand for Orchards, Anand scored 33 while Mrugesh scored 21 runs.Bijoy picked up 2 wickets for Tigers. Orchards achieved the target in 15 overs.
Man of the Match was Anand Krishnan from Orchards for 33 runs and 2 catches.
Sunday 7/18/2010 Prime Contenders vs Spartans at Lower Garden Acres, Longmont
Spartans won the toss and elected to field. With some disciplined bowling, Prime Contenders were restricted to 71 at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Sandeep Lumbu was the star bowler with figures of 4 overs, 8 runs, 4 wickets. Satish supported well by taking 3 wickets. For Prime Contenders, Bharath was the main stay scoring 18 runs, and got good support from Girish (12) and Priyesh (11).
Spartans chased the target in 14.4 overs, losing 3 wickets. Charan was the main stay scoring 39 * and well supported by Pavan (17*) and Vamshi (10). Rajeev and Ashish from Prime Contenders took a wicket each.
Charan and Sandeep from Spartans were declared as joint Men of the Match
Sunday 7/18/2010 Kangaroos vs Challengers at Lower Garden Acres, Longmont
Challengers won the toss and elected to bowl. Kangaroos scored 90 in 19.3 overs and finished their innings. Mangesh took 3 wickets while Ravi, Manoj & Raghu picked up 2 each. Iliyaz & Kari made 28 runs each for Kangaroos, batting sensibly and keeping the scoreboard ticking.
In reply Challengers chased down the target in 18.5 overs with 4 overs to spare. Venkat top scored with 40 runs while Pramod made 19 and Mangesh remained not out on 14. Mangesh played an outstanding innings by prevailing over some tense moments and pulled the victory towards Challenger's end.
Venkat was judged 'Man of the Match' for scoring 40 runs. It is to be noted that this is his consecutive 'fourth' Man of the Match award !!
