2012 Home Real Estate T16 Match Reports - Week 4 (28-29 Apr 2012)

WEEK 4

GROUP B

Saturday 4/28/2012 WyoCC vs Royal Warriors at Country Field Park,Erie - Reported by Amit Thakar(WyoCC)

Royal Warriors won the toss and asked WYOCC to bat first. Batting first WYOCC lost 2 quick wicket in 2nd over. Sateesh and Kasun stabilized the wyocc innings and took the score to 34.
There after Amit joined Kasun and added 25 runs in 2.3 overs. This momentum allowed WYOCC to score 104 in 16 overs with Kasun scoring 49 runs (3 fours and 3 six). For Royal Warriors
Karun bowled an excellent spell taking 5 wickets and Raj took 2 wickets.

Batting second Royal Warriors lost their openers quickly in first two overs. Soon half of the team was back in pavilion with 9 runs on board, mainly due to some excellent fielding by WYOCC.
WYOCC affected 4 run out in all and Royal Warriors were all out in 42 runs. Nishant and Sameep took 2 wickets each.

Kasun Lankananda was declared Man of the Match.

Sunday 4/29/2012 Titans vs Buffs at Lower Garden Acres,Longmont - Reported by Sudheer Tummala(Titans)

Buffs: 95/9 in 16 overs
Titans: 97/5 in 14.5 overs

GROUP C

Sunday 4/29/2012 Spartans vs Denver Indians at Lower Garden Acres,Longmont - Reported by Santhosh Kumar(Spartans)

Spartans won the toss and chose to field.Denver Indians started off with a very good partnership from Dixit and Vikrant scoring 35 runs in 5 overs until Sridhar
picked up the crucial wicket. Back to back run outs halted their progress, things slowed down until Sajja and Suresh put on some quick runs taking their total to 93.
Sridhar bowled exceptionally well taking 4 crucial wickets along with a run out and a wonderful running catch.

Spartans had a shaky start losing Amit in the first over, Sridhar batted very well scoring 21 of 18balls and set a good partnership with Sunny. At the loss of Sridhar
Spartans needed close to 70 runs in 10 overs. Uday played a blistering knock scoring 28 runs of 14 deliveries and well supported by Sunny who scored 25 of 23 runs.
Spartans rapped up the match comfortably scoring 96 runs in 14.2 overs.

Sridhar Gowda was the player of the match for his all round performance on the field.

Saturday 4/28/2012 Colorado Amigos vs Warriors at Country Field Park, Erie - Reported by Shiv Nandeeshaiah(Colorado Amigos)

Warriors won the toss and opted to bat first .Ram gave a good start to warriors team by scoring a boundary and 8 runs of first over but soon Warriors started
losing wickets in regular intervals while Ram stood at other end .Chandu and Manohar’s contribution in small partnership took Warriors to 69 but were all out in 15.5 overs .
Pramod from Amigos took 3 wkts and Majji took 2 .

Warriors had a good start by taking 3 wickets for 12 runs in first 4 overs and exerted pressure on Amigos.Shiv scored 22 runs not out and played an anchor role by building
the partnerships with Pradeep(24 runs) and Pramod(15 n.o ) which took Amigos to victory .Karthik Krishna was the pick of Warriors’ bowlers who took 4 wickets .
Pramod’s allround performance helped Amigos to victory.Amigos won by 6 wickets with 11 balls left.

Sunday 4/29/2012 MileHigh Mavericks vs Denver Chargers at Country Field Park, Erie - Reported by Ravikumar Nekkanti(MileHigh Mavericks)

It was a must win game for both the teams to qualify for Round2 and it was Mavericks who ended up being on the winning side. Mavericks won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Mavericks had a good start with a wicket in the first over. With a consistent line and seam the bowlers were successful in constantly putting pressure on the Chargers batsman
and finally taking them down for a least score of the season so far 40/10 in 12.5 overs.

With only 40 runs to chase, Mavericks started off with a great opening partnership which lead Mavericks to victory by 10 wickets with 8.2 overs remaining.
