Quarter-Final 2

Sunday 5/12/2012 Anchors vs Colorado Amigos at Lower Garden Acres, Longmont - Reported by Das Thumma(Anchors)


It was cold and damped pitch in the morning.Anchors won the toss and choose to bowl.

Amigos started poor loosing 4 wickets for 13 runs, good partnership came from Manish(20 runs) and Pramod(6) and gave some hope for Amigos, ones the partnership has broken at 33 runs. Amigos scored 2 more runs and lost more 5 wickets. Amigos all out for 35 Runs. Great bowling from Anchors, Vimal who took 4 wickets for 6 runs and Ravi took 2 wickets for 5 runs.

Batting 2nd Anchors lost 5 wickets for 18runs but Prabodh (15runs) and Ravi (7runs) played good for Anchors. Anchors won by 3 wickets.

Titans won by 10 runs

Sunday 5/13/2012 Warriors vs Challengers at Country Field Park, Erie - Reported by Mangesh Sahasrabudhe(Challengers)

Warriors won the toss and elected to bowl first. Venkat and Sanjay gave a solid 63 runs start to Challengers. They lost few quick wickets after the break but then Mangesh and Manoj played well towards the end to post a challenging total of 118/6 in 16 overs. Venkat was the top scorer with 35 runs while Sanjay (29), Mangesh (18 no) and Manoj (12) gave a useful contribution.

In reply, Warriors were restricted to 72/9 in 16 overs. Simha, Venkat and Vinay picked 2 wickets each. Challengers won by 46 runs.

Venkat was declared MOM.


Quarter-Final 3

Sunday 5/13/2012 Buffs vs Crazy Cricketers at Country Field Park, Erie - Reported by Seshu Velpuri(Crazy Cricketers)

The home team was unable to get the stumps to ground and as a result game started at 2.55 pm. Umpires fined the home team with 2 over less to be bowled for them.

Crazy Cricketers won the toss and elected to bowl. Nisarg and Viswas gave a good 30 runs start. They lost few quick wickets after the break and ended up with 69 for 6 in 14 overs. Viswas was the top scorer with 22.

In response, Crazy Cricketers comfortably achieved the target in 11.3 overs with just losing 3 wickets. Rahul and Arun gave solid partnership and Rahul with 29 runs was declared MOM. Crazy Cricketers won by 7 wickets.

Rahul with 29 runs was declared MOM.
